Amy Richter developed her passion for music at an early age. Her traveling father would bring home vinyl albums of various genres of music; exploring with them together. Amy found playing music helped focus and build confidence – two reasons she eventually studied music therapy in college.
She currently teaches bodhran lessons for all ages and levels at the Milwaukee Irish Fest School of Music, performing both domestically and internationally, attending concerts as an instructor, as well as participating in Junior Davey Bodhran Academy classes in Ireland.
Professor Amy Richter was an exceptional educator with a deep commitment to her craft, described by her students as both an excellent mentor and fierce intellectual.
